Happy New Year! Now that it’s officially 2018, it’s time to start planning this year’s vacations. If you need some inspiration (you’ve come to the right place!) or you want the scoop on the hottest new spots, I’m rounding up 2018’s hottest and most anticipated hotel openings for you, below.
I am drooling over the images of the new Edition hotel that is coming to West Hollywood this year. It’s no shock that this hotel will be stunning (all Editions are) but the WeHo location is extra-exciting and has me wanting to book a trip to L.A. as soon as it opens. Maybe it’s because it feels like 11 degrees where I am right now but the thought of being in sunny southern California sounds like an absolute dream. You can expect gorgeous interiors, a signature restaurant, a rooftop pool venue and a boutique spa.
Speaking of L.A., NYC’s NoMad Hotel is coming soon to downtown Los Angeles in the historic Giannini building which was originally served as The Bank of Italy’s headquarters (don’t really know what that means other than it sounds decadent!) The hotel will have a rooftop (as every L.A. hotel should with year round rooftop weather) with a cocktail bar and pool. Chef Daniel Humm (of NYC’s Eleven Madison Park) will be heading up the food + beverage program, so you can only imagine it’ll be something to write home about. Definitely a hotel to check out if you head to L.A. this year!
And as if you needed an excuse to jet down to the Bahamas, Rosewood Baha Mar is it. Located on the capital island of Nassau, the hotel is easily accessible but with the private Cable Beach for its guests, still feels very exclusive. In addition to pristine palm tree covered beaches and island glamour, the hotel will feature two restaurants and three bars. Opens June 2018 so start booking now!
2018 is the year of Nobu. You might recognize this name from the popular (and delicious) sushi restaurants all over the world by Nobu Matsuhisa. Over the years the empire has crossed over into the hotel space, and this year the group has six hotel locations opening this year in places like Atlanta, Toronto, Chicago, Los Cabos and more.
