Valentine’s Day is less than one month away, which means that if you plan on going out for dinner, you should make reservations, like, yesterday. While we have mixed feelings about prix-fix menus and Valentine’s Day crowds, we’ll admit that wining and dining in a romantic restaurant isn’t a horrible way to spend the holiday of romance that we all love to hate. So in the event you do plan on dining out and you need recommendations on where to take that special someone, we’re sharing our pics for the best restaurants for date night from L.A. to Miami.
NEW YORK CITY
47 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012
Il Buco in Noho is hands down one of the best date night spots in NYC, with an intimate ambiance and an authentic, Mediterranean-focused menu that’s just as sexy. The vibe is cozy and candlelit, with wood and exposed brick covering the interior. It’s the perfect place to go for a relaxed and romantic evening.

110 Waverly Place, New York, NY 10011
If you want a more formal setting for Valentine’s Day (or any date night, really), take your S.O. to Babbo, an upscale Italian restaurant in the Village that never disappoints. It’s more high energy and lively than a place such as Il Buco, but it’s just as romantic. They play great music, and couples are seated on the same side of the booth. (You can read more about it here.)
945 N. Fairfax Ave., West Hollywood, CA 90046
Ysabel is swanky, sexy restaurant in L.A. with a fresh menu in a gorgeous outdoor open atmosphere. Enjoy your meal sitting under trees covered in lights, and cozy up with a cocktail after dinner on a couch by the fireplace.
RM CHAMPAGNE SALON
116 N. Green St., Chicago, IL 60607
Ask anyone in Chicago, and they will probably recommend RM Champagne Salon as one of the best date-night spots in the city. Tucked away behind an alleyway, the restaurant has a speakeasy, French bistro vibe. The inside is incredibly cozy with a large fireplace (pictured above) and the room is lit with chandeliers and candlelight.
1301 North State Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60610
Located in the swanky Public hotel, the Pump Room is sort of an icon of a restaurant, known for decades as a favorite of celebrities. Today, the restaurant continues to be perfect for a fancy night out. Enjoy a nightcap at the Pump Room bar which is backdropped in gold and has the glamorous vibe reminiscent of the 30’s and 40’s.
1700 James Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139
Located in a villa-turned-tiny boutique hotel, Casa Tua serves delicious northern Italian cuisine (their pastas are to die for) in an incredibly romantic setting. If the weather is nice, sit outside in the garden (pictured above), which is surrounded by trees and lit with hanging lanterns.
112 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach, FL 33139
You can’t go wrong with taking your date to the upscale steakhouse Prime 112 on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. The menu is delicious and the decor is sleek and sexy. A favorite of celebrities who visit Miami, it’s a place to see and be seen, and will be sure to impress your date.
